Dr. Roberta Chinn is the Assistant Director of Psychometric Services at Comira. With more than 20 years of experience in the measurement field, Dr. Chinn is responsible for conducting practitioner interviews, job analysis survey development, focus group facilitation, data analysis and preparation of validation reports. She has extensive experience in developing licensing and certification exams, and has worked in both private and government settings. Dr. Chinn has extensive experience in conducting cut score studies, and specializes in the development of multiple-choice, performance, and oral examinations. Her recent work includes program evaluations of Smog Check technician training and a standardized examination format for assessing clincial competencies for initial dental licensure. Previously, Dr. Chinn spent 11 years as senior measurement consultant at Office of Examination Resources at the California Department of Consumer Affairs. During her tenure at DCA, she handled sensitive aspects of examination programs for more than 30 boards.

Dr. Chinn has chaired and presented at the annual meetings of Council of Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation and the National Council on Measurement in Education. She has also co-authored several technical papers and journal articles. Dr. Chinn is a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Educational Research Association, the National Council on Measurement in Education, and the Council of Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation.

She received her B.S. from the University of California at Davis in psychology, an M.A. from the University of the Pacific in experimental psychology, and a Ph.D. in experimental and cognitive psychology from Louisiana State University.
